BronzeLens Film Festival (BLFF) is now accepting entries for our 2013 Festival. We are seeking films by or about people of color that explore the trials and triumphs of life through the use of the moving image.
Please read the following information and complete the submissions form. Note that if your film was shot in Georgia or there are any Georgia ties of your principals (Georgia residence) there is an entry fee reduction. Verification is required.
Entries must be written, directed, produced and/or principally acted by a person of color.
More than one entry can be submitted. However each entry must be accompanied by separate submission forms, fee and materials.
Year of completion must be 2011 or later.
Foreign language films must have English subtitles.
You are encouraged to submit prior to the deadline for a reduced fee.
Online submissions must include a signed copy of the entry form, fee, publicity photo and 250 word synopsis of the film.
Signing the entry form certifies that you are the rightful owner of the submitted work and own all rights and releases necessary for public screening. All legal clearances and releases including, but not limited to talent, music or stock footage are the responsibility of the filmmaker. The submitted film is not subject to litigation and is not threatened by litigation.
We require 2 DVD screener copies (NTSC-US format). They must be clearly labeled with title, running time, director’s name and contact e-mail address. A separate entry form and fee must be completed for each film. Payments must be made by money order, bank draft or PayPal only. No personal checks will be accepted.
DVD screeners will not be returned. Incomplete entries will not be considered.
Please double check to ensure that your DVD plays back properly.
If your work is selected, you agree to provide a final exhibition DVD no later than October 15, 2013. You give permission for BLFF to utilize clips or stills of your entry for festival promotional purposes (including but not limited to television, web, and presentations).
There is no premiere requirement, however BLFF encourages at least an Atlanta premiere for selected films. Projects may have distribution but not yet had theatrical release, airplay on television, or broadcast on the Internet.
A press kit is required only after acceptance. A color production photo or title is required with your submission.
BLFF is not responsible for damage to or loss of any submitted materials in route to the Festival. The sender is responsible for all shipping costs (including customs and delivery fees). BLFF will acknowledge receipt of your entry.
